Death For Apostasy In The Quran & Hadith

UPDATE: Notice the horrible message that is being sent in quran chapter18:

Killing Of The Boy

Starting at 18.65, we see that the one who killed the boy was someone who according to quran 18.65 was:

Then they found one of Our slaves, unto whom We had bestowed mercy from Us,
and whom We had taught knowledge from Us
.

This is alleging that this person will make all the right decisions and set the example straight from 'god' himself.

Read further and you see that during his journey with the character alleged to be Moses (just like all the characters in the quran are the identity theft of someone else, the character of Musa is the identity theft of Moses), you will see that he kills a boy. Why?

quran 18.74 - Then they both proceeded, till they met a boy, he (Khidr) killed
him. Musa (Moses) said: "Have you killed an innocent person who had killed none?
Verily, you have committed a thing "Nukra" (a great Munkar - prohibited, evil,
dreadful thing)!"

Remember this is just a boy. The quran never names the killer of the boy who is allegedly annointed from 'god', yet you'll notice that the Hilali-Khan translation used above supplies the killer with the name "Khidr". Now notice how this person explains why he killed the boy:

quran 18.80 - "And as for the boy, his parents were believers, and we feared
lest he should oppress them by rebellion and disbelief.

quran 18.81 - "So we intended that their Lord should change him for them for one better in righteousness and near to mercy.

Wow. Kill even little kids if they dont buy into muhammads lies. This is a good example of the violent zealotry teachings of the quran. This proves the source of:

  • 1: So-called "honor killings"
  • 2: Death for apostasy teachings.
  • 3: Kill non-believers, people who reject the filth of islam.
  • 4: Make special note of quran 9.14 saying this is to be carried out by muslims themselves:
quran 9.14 - Fight against them so that Allah will punish them by your hands and
disgrace them and give you victory over them and heal the breasts of a believing
people

This is how muhammad got people to do his dirty work, with of course the 80% incentive specified in quran 8.41, and that these 'spoils of war' include women, specified in quran 4.24.

This story is very well explained in a youtube video available here.

For reference, this story is in quran 18.65-81.

There is tons more on this blog. Be sure to read it from the beginning here.

Check this out. The commonly accepted penalty for apostasy (leaving, renouncing faith, changing your mind, converting from etc.) within islam is death. But this is often downplayed/disputed because many muslims/apologists say that there is no basis for it from the quran or hadith. Are they assuming that you may not have the ability to find this information for yourself? Would it tarnish the moniker of the 'religion of peace' for this to be a topic of conversation, especially in the west? Lets examine why this post on an islamic website here is whitewashing ( lying, taqiyya ) about what is actually in the quran and hadith. The reference for the article is given as:

Transcribed from
Review of Religions
April, May 1989
No. 4, 5
Vol. LXXIV

And I suspect that a muslim added some commentary for the web posting. Now let's imagine the resources available to find information in 1989 as compared to 2006. In 1989, if you had an interest in exploring this topic, the resources available to you would be severely limited, tedious and intricate to explore. Personally I find the website posting from alislam.org to be a typical blatantly misleading example of what is actually in the quran. Lets examine what they are saying:
~~~~~
begin quote
The fair name of Islam has recently been darkened by the murderous directive issued by certain Muslim leaders and endorsed by their supporters that Salman Rusdhie must be assassinated as a result of his making blasphemous remarks about the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in his book Satanic Verses. No doubt Salman Rushdie has been guilty of blasphemy but this is not an offence for which the death penalty is prescribed by Islam. Not at all. No such instruction is contained in the holy Quran and it is a significant point to bear in mind that not one protagonist demanding his assassination has quoted a single verse from the Holy Quran as a basis of authority.
and
There is no mention in the Holy Quran or anywhere else of any punishment for an apostate which may be meted out to him by any other person.
end quote
~~~~~
This goes on and on in the article until you start to believe it and take their word for it right? They even throw in the typical 'No compulsion in religion' verse.

We already discussed the killing of the boy, now lets look at 4.089 from the quran:
~~~~~
They long that ye should disbelieve even as they disbelieve, that ye may be upon a level (with them). So choose not friends from them till they forsake their homes in the way of Allah; if they turn back (to enmity) then take them and kill them wherever ye find them, and choose no friend nor helper from among them
~~~~~
Let's analyze this verse. Obviously it is dealing with disbelief. Then it addresses conversion to islam (till they forsake their homes in the way of Allah) Then it addresses leaving islam (turn back to enmity). Then it addresses penalty for leaving ( take them and kill them wherever ye find them). This is blatant proof that the quran advocates man to enforce the penalty of death (as opposed to dogmatic penalty ie; heaven/hell) for those it considers to be apostates (turn back to enmity). Does this sound like 'no compulsion'? This is murder. Many other verses in the quran imply that the only penalty is to be enforced on the dogmatic concept of judgement day. It also abrogates (cancels out, contradicts) the smokescreen verse of 'There is no compulsion in religion' and others like it.
---
Here is a more accurate translation that muslims and muslim websites are actively trying to hide: (Remember that before the internet, they had a relatively easy time doing this)

quran 4.89: They wish that you reject Faith, as they have rejected (Faith), and thus that you all become equal (like one another). So take not Auliya' (protectors or friends) from them, till they emigrate in the Way of Allah (to Muhammad SAW). But if they turn back (from Islam), take (hold) of them and kill them wherever you find them, and take neither Auliya' (protectors or friends) nor helpers from them.

---
Here is the tafsir (explanation) of 4.89 from Ibn ‘Abbâs (Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs)

(They long that you should disbelieve) in Muhammad and the Qur’an (even as they disbelieve, that ye may be upon a level (with them)) in following idolatry. (So choose not friends from them) in religion or for seeking assistance and backing (till they forsake their homes) until they believe again and migrate (in the way of Allah) in obedience of Allah; (if they turn back) from faith and migration (then take them) as prisoners (and kill them wherever you find them) in the Sacred Precinct or anywhere else, (and choose no friend) in religion or for seeking assistance and backing (nor helper) a protector (from among them),
---
A true 'god' and a true 'prophet of god' don't need 20% of spoils of war to 'finance their operation' (8.41) Nor do they need people to kill for them. This is pure evil.
Another common theme within the quran is the shunning of non-muslims. As you can imagine, this leads to the non-muslim being ostracized, coerced, intimidated, and subjected to violence. Meanwhile all we hear is it's a 'religion of peace' and the smokescreen verse of 'there's no compulsion in religion'. The true nature of islam is concealed by those who claim 'the terrorists arent true muslims' or 'you're taking it out of context' or 'you need to read it in arabic'. This goes on and on until your chasing your tail like a dog, which is exactly where they want you.

See more commands of coercion and violence from the quran and hadith here.

Remember that the reference article would like you to believe that:
quote
"All Muslims look upon the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, as a perfect exemplar for mankind and they would do well to be moved and guided by his noble example".
end quote

But hadith tells us that:

Allah's Apostle said, "I have been sent with the shortest expressions bearing the widest meanings, and I have been made victorious with terror (cast in the hearts of the enemy), and while I was sleeping, the keys of the treasures of the world were brought to me and put in my hand." Abu Huraira added: Allah's Apostle has left the world and now you, people, are bringing out those treasures (i.e. the Prophet did not benefit by them).

quote from alislam.org:
There is no mention in the Holy Quran or anywhere else of any punishment for an apostate which may be meted out to him by any other person.
end quote

As far as 'anywhere else' goes, apparently they (alislam.org) arent aware of Al Bukhari Vol. 9:57 Hadith which states:
It is narrated that the Prophet (pbuh) said: [From among the Banu Ishmael,] whoever changes his religion, kill him. ~~~~
and
Allah's Apostle said, "The blood of a Muslim who confesses that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that I am His Apostle, cannot be shed except in three cases: In Qisas for murder, a married person who commits illegal sexual intercourse and the one who reverts from Islam (apostate) and leaves the Muslims." Volume 9, Book 83, Number 17
and
Abu Muisa said, "He was a Jew and became a Muslim and then reverted back to Judaism." Then Abu Muisa requested Mu'adh to sit down but Mu'adh said, "I will not sit down till he has been killed. This is the judgment of Allah and His Apostle (for such cases) and repeated it thrice. Then Abu Musa ordered that the man be killed, and he was killed.
Volume 9, Book 84, Number 58: http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/hadithsunnah/bukhari/084.sbt.html

and

Sahih Al-Bukhari: Volume 5, Book 59, Number 630:
There was a man tied with his hands behind his neck. Mu'adh said to Abu Musa, "O 'Abdullah bin Qais! What is this?" Abu Musa replied. "This man has reverted to Heathenism after embracing Islam." Mu'adh said, "I will not dismount till he is killed." Abu Musa replied, "He has been brought for this purpose, so come down." Mu'adh said, "I will not dismount till he is killed." So Abu Musa ordered that he be killed, and he was killed.

Volume 9, Book 84, Number 64 (same source as above)
and will go out from (leave) their religion as an arrow goes out of the game. So, where-ever you find them, kill them, for who-ever kills them shall have reward on the Day of Resurrection."
This is just part of the long continuing 'kill for god's reward' theme of the quran and hadith. But dont worry, I'm sure right now Oprah is talking about something fun, and I'm sure QVC has some cute trinkets that will be far more amusing than researching this stuff.

<<-- Taqiyya from a 'useful idiot' (I may say things just to cheat my enemy) source here Volume 9, Book 84, Number 64

Could 'islamic death for apostasy' be based on muhammads own megolomania? Are his followers trying to make sure this happens? Read this:

So I hope that my followers will outnumber the followers of the other Prophets on the Day of Resurrection." source #504

Many muslims love to say they reject hadith. But Saudi Arabia feels it is authentic enough to base their laws on it (Sunnah' means 'collection of hadith and traditions of the Ummah'. Ummah means the islamic community) :
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a sovereign Arab Islamic state with Islam as its religion; God's Book and the Sunnah of His Prophet, God's prayers and peace be upon him, are its constitution, Arabic is its language and Riyadh is its capital.

and

The greatest evidence of this is the book of Ahâdîth an-Nabawî he compiled, commonly known as Sahîh al-Bukhârî. It is universally acknowledged as the most authentic book after the Holy Qur'ân. source here

If you notice in the web address of this link:
http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/hadithsunnah/bukhari/052.sbt.html#004.052.220
it is in the University of Southern California Muslim Student Association website (MSA) in the section of 'fundamentals'. Feel free to be intrigued as to why it wasnt Michael Moore, Code Pink, Cindy Sheehan, Howard Zinn, Rachel Corrie, Juan Cole or Noam Chomsky who brought this to your attention. You'd think this would be right up their alley. ssshhhhhhh..... hush little babeeee dont say a word............

As for non-muslims, lets consult this verse from the quran

The Jews say: "Allah's hand is tied up." Be their hands tied up and be they accursed for the (blasphemy) they utter. Nay, both His hands are widely outstretched: He giveth and spendeth (of His bounty) as He pleaseth. But the revelation that cometh to thee from Allah increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. Amongst them we have placed enmity and hatred till the Day of Judgment. Every time they kindle the fire of war, Allah doth extinguish it; but they (ever) strive to do mischief on earth. And Allah loveth not those who do mischief.

disbelief = enmity -->> But the revelation that cometh to thee from Allah increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. Amongst them we have placed enmity and hatred till the Day of Judgment. quran 5.064 apostacy, disbelief = war
